In fact, communication is an essential part of many aspects of the business world today.

Communication also includes the ability to interpret, analyze, or synthesize information. For example, a master’s degree in Communication requires students to demonstrate how they can analyze, interpret, and synthesize information from multiple disciplines, which include but are not limited to; business communication, business law, legal, medical, social work relationships, marketing, leadership, ethics, politics, economics, and more. Communication in the workplace is also defined as understanding how ideas are transformed into action. It requires students to demonstrate the ability to understand what an employee thinks about a problem, how they feel about it, how they can act upon their thoughts, and how they can be changed to reflect a change in the way things are now. It also requires students to show how a person can persuade or influence others and the process of persuading people.

Communication in the workplace also involves recognizing and evaluating the effectiveness of communication, both within organizations and in the marketplace. Many organizations require that employees be tested for communicating skills at work, so that companies can determine whether the communication level in their workplace is satisfactory. Communication also includes the ability to make decisions in situations and create and the communication processes that will be most effective for the individual.

Communication also involves analyzing, interpreting, and synthesizing information from the environment, such as research studies, case studies, experiments, or surveys. It also requires students to demonstrate how they can make judgments and decisions based upon the results of these studies and also demonstrate the ability to communicate this information to others.
