The most common of the database classes that one comes across in the market is the Database Accessor. This interface provides easy access to the various database objects through a single interface. You can find several such interfaces available in the popular database management systems like Oracle, Access, Microsoft Access, Lotus Domino etc. These interfaces are extremely popular due to the fact that they are extremely easy to use for users. The primary advantage of the interface of these database objects is that they allow the user to connect with the database object through a simple and intuitive user interface.
In order to call the different methods of the database objects, you need to provide a specific set of arguments along with the application program or the procedure. In the case of database access, the interface of the database objects uses a set of predefined database objects as their base tables. These table types are supported by the various database object types including the standard database types.
For better support, most of the databases use a series of extensions known as Database Accessor. These extensions can be used directly or they can be used to wrap the underlying object types of the Database Accessor. One of the extensions which is used extensively in most of the databases is the stored procedures.

The regular types of databases are much less generic and do not provide access to all the methods available to the more specialized database types. In most of the cases, the regular types of database can be easily accessed through the various extension interfaces which are used to wrap the base database types.
